The first thing that struck me when I began work on the film set was how much it reminded me of the photographic studio in
Antonioni's Blow-Up. Incidentally, this film is loosely based on a short story of the same title by one of my favourite authors,
Julio Cortázar. Cortázar teetered on the edge of magic realism; like many other Latin American writers, such as Borges, Marquez and Fuentes.
